Chikankari Sarees:

Chikankari, a handicraft process made with wooden blocks, is hand-designed in various design patterns, natural stew for printing is prepared, and the fabric is printed simultaneously. The chikankari artisans then perform the needlework artistically using ten pieces of needlecraft embroidery.

Chikankari sarees are also known with different names in India such as chikan saree, chikenkari, Lakhnavi saree, Lucknowi saree, etc. These kinds of sarees are high on demand because of their elegant look and awesome fabric that makes them comfortable to wear for women.

Ruffle Saree:

Ruffled sarees are made with ruffled detailing on the edge of sarees called “palla” that looks like a dramatic silhouette. We are all aware that fashion patterns change over time, necessitating the possession of fashionable clothing. In a similar vein, sarees have undergone a spectacular transformation in terms of fashion. Be it lehenga sarees, dhoti sarees, ruffled sarees, and much more.

Though talking about it, the Ruffle saree trend has recently gained a lot of popularity among women. If you're a fan of the trend and want to get your hands on some ruffled sarees from brands like Manjulika Fashion and XOXO in an exquisite range in Neti Jolly, Ahalyaa, Inddus, Arpita Mehta, and a slew of other well-known brands are among them.

Gharchola Saree:

Gujarati Gharchola (also known as Ghatchola and Gharcholu) is woven in broad checks with Silk and Zari threads on Cotton or Silk cloth. This is then dyed using the Bandhani or tie-dye technique. Tiny golden motifs of peacocks, lotus, human figures, and floral designs adorn these checkered patterns. A typical Gharchola is 5.5 meters long and 46 inches wide and is made of red fabric with yellow and white dots generally. This saree transforms a wedding, or any other ritual, into a scenic and picturesque event which has made Gharchola sarees high on demand in the Indian Market.

Making a Gharchola saree is a time-consuming and intricate process. It all begins with a starched fabric that is nailed to a large wooden frame. After the fabric is fixed on the loom, it is coloured in a variety of colours, most often red or green. After that, the fabric is divided into rows of white tie-dyed squares or woven zari motifs. The weaver generally needs about a week to prepare the looms for weaving and to begin the design process.

Each compartment features a variety of designs, including animals, flowers, and human figures. A plain body weave takes about 3 days to complete. If you want to make a check pattern, it will take about a week. The weaving process for a double-check pattern takes 10-12 days to complete.

Bengali Tant sarees have a wide margin, a decorative pallu, and several floral, paisley, and other artistic motifs are woven into them. The term “tant” refers to the handlooms in Bengal that are used to weave cotton sarees along with dhotis and other garments
